Hi, fellow anglers, some very good catches since last Monday - 44 boats out in the last 7 days. 77 rods, 33 fish reported as kept, weighing 107lbs, 135 fish returned on catch & release.
Mr Kelly returned 8 Rainbows on Monday. Tuesday saw 4 anglers out and returning 16 trout. A couple of anglers out Wednesday kept fish and 7 returned by Stewart Kelly on Thursday. Sixteen anglers out on Friday, 42 fish caught and returned (one at 5lbs).
On Saturday Waders A.C. with 2 boats kept 11 fish for 39lbs, one at 5lbs 8oz caught by Douglas Gribble, also 1 at 4lbs 2 oz. While Heriots A.C. with 11 anglers kept 1 and returned 19 trout. A couple of anglers returned 4 trout. Graham Hoggan fishing from the bank returned 4 fish.
Sunday saw Edinburgh Post Office A.C. keep 1 Rainbow for 3lbs 8oz and return 24 fish, including one weighing 6lbs 8oz caught by Darrel Young - see photo.
Dunfermline Artisans kept 17 Rainbows for 50lbs 6oz. Mr McGregor returned 3 fish, while Mr Golding and Mr Murphy fishing from the north bank returned 6 and 3 Rainbows respectively.
Fast-Glass and Di3 lines with black/green lures, also, cutthroat cats were again the successful setups. The east end of the Loch offered the heaviest fish. Anglers again commented that they were dropping a lot of fish and getting snapped.
